Whenever possible, if the course schedule allows it, I suggest to the students that they take a group photograph with me in a location outside the studio. Producing such a photograph gives the students the opportunity to experience the process of building a shared concept, choosing a location, planning and working with a large number of flashes, obtaining permits, and all the other sundry tasks involved in a complex production. The aim is to enable them to gain experience in this type of production so as to defuse any fears (which several of them often have) which could present an obstacle to their attempting to undertake large productions in the future. The group photograph is always an especially enjoyable experience.
